Can I get regular updates on water quality from my water utility?

The best way to check on the quality of your water supply is to call your water utility. The number is on your water bill, or look up your city's public works department in your phone book. Since 1999, all water utilities have been required to notify their customers every year of the levels of regulated contaminants it has found in the water supply, as well as the presence of other suspicious, but as-of-yet unregulated, material.
